Dr James Hazelton
James is an engineer and energy expert with over 10 years’ experience in the industry. As part of his PhD, he developed tools to reduce risk and improving the development outcomes of renewable energy mini-grid projects globally. He has previously held roles as a Commercial Analyst and Operational Team Leader at Infigen Energy, where he established the Operations Control Centre to manage over 550MW of renewable energy assets in the National Electricity Market (NEM) and the South West Interconnected System (SWIS). James has led and managed a variety of projects for ITP Renewables, most recently in the central Pacific where he supervised and managed a joint EU and New Zealand electrification program which interconnected 4 micro-grids on the largest coral atoll in the world.
James has a Bachelor of Renewable Energy Engineering (Honours) from the University of New South Wales and a PhD in Engineering from the University of New South Wales.
