ACT Renewable Energy Auction Tender Assessments

Since 2012 the ACT Government has conducted five auctions to support the development of large-scale wind, solar and energy storage projects. Successful bidders win long-term feed-in tariff contracts. During each auction the ACT Government establishes an expert advisory panel to undertake technical assessments of the received bids. For each of the auction rounds ITP Renewables has been commissioned to review and assess the tender documents submitted by bidders. The work has included:

• due diligence on technical proposals and electricity generation forecasts
• due diligence on the detailed financial structure of each bid
• due diligence on the regulatory approval and grid-connection process for each bid
• due diligence on the conformance of each bid with the tender specifications
• complete formal review form and summary of each bid for further assessment by the ACT Government.
