The Australian Square Kilometre Array Pathfinder (ASKAP) is the world's fastest survey radio telescope. The site has very strict radiofrequency emissions requirements, which affects the design of any electrical equipment being installed. The work includes:

  • modelling and technical/financial optimisation of PV and battery system
  • design of integration topology with existing diesel power station
  • drafting of tender specifications for both systems
  • advice on commercial arrangements with power station operator.
