Grid-Connected Solar PV for Samoa

As part of the Japanese-funded Pacific Environmental Community Fund, the Government of Samoa received funding assistance for 400 kWp of grid-connected PV. ITP Renewables was engaged by Samoa’s Electric Power Corporation (EPC) in 2016 to provide assistance with site selection, draft tender specifications and provide construction supervision. The work included:

• technical feasibility study of grid-connected PV on several government and utility-owned buildings in Apia
• assessment and selection of the most suitable sites
• drafting of tender specifications and tender evaluation
• commissioning and monitoring of the system.
