Residential Energy Storage Systems Survey

The purpose is to determine the range and functionality of the energy storage systems available to residential Australians to reduce their energy costs through arbitrage or increasing self-consumption of electricity generated on-site with PV systems. As the cost of storage technology decreases it is clear that distributed energy storage will grow in residential Australia. This survey was undertaken to outline the available technologies and allow further analysis of their impacts on the energy market in Australia. The work involved:

• Investigation of storage technologies available including formulating, distributing and advertising for market survey
• Analysing the results of the extensive market survey.
