Review of the Potential for Concentrating Solar Power in Australia

Review-of-the-Potential-for-Concentrating-Solar-Power-in-Australia.png

This study was commissioned by the Australian Solar Institute to examine the costs, potential market revenue sources, barriers and overall potential for concentrating solar power (CSP) systems. We concluded that the gap between cost and value is likely to close between 2018 and 2030, and that CSP offers a major opportunity for Australia. Its main competitive advantage is its ability to store energy for dispatchable electricity. A shorter 30-page Summary for Stakeholders document supports the 300-page Final Report, viewable at our Publications Page.
