Westpac Solar Feasibility Study
As part of its commitment to sustainability, Westpac engaged ITP Renewables to assess the solar energy potential of over 130 of its retail and commercial branches across Australia.
The study took into consideration energy output, financial viability, visibility to the public, and ease of installation of the PV systems. Using these criteria, ITP Renewables drafted a shortlist of the 20 most suitable sites for a grid-connected PV system. The work included:
- technical and economic feasibility study of grid-connected PV on 130 Westpac branches across the country
- selection of the most suitable sites based on criteria that were developed during the project in conjunction with UGL
- in-depth economic modelling of the shortlisted sites.
