Zero Emissions Noosa
ITP Renewables was commissioned by Zero Emissions Noosa in 2018 to help them develop a 100% renewable energy Action Plan.
We used a combination of scenario modelling out to 2026, community engagement and the development of a Toolbox of Options that was then developed into an Action Plan. The community was involved in all stages of the process, from the selection of modelling assumptions and scenarios, to the identification of feasible technologies, to the creation of realistic options to drive uptake. This has resulted in a total of eight separate community-led activities, and has also motivated Noosa Council to accelerate its own programs. This approach built on similar projects that ITP Renewables undertook for East Gippsland Shire Council and for Zero Emissions Byron.
