Shane is a highly skilled electrical engineer with 18 international patents in his name, and 15 years’ experience in solar PV, battery energy storage, and diesel generation projects.

Shane is unique in that his skills cover all aspects of a project’s life including feasibility, concept/tender design, detailed design and product selection, project management, construction, and commissioning. Also a registered electrician, his practical experience with installation and troubleshooting adds considerable value to his engineering skills.

Shane was one of the two lead designers, project managers, and installers for the implementation of 18 island solar/battery/generator hybrid systems on Tokelau, the Northern Cook Islands, Tuvalu, Niue and the island of Aitutaki (Cook Islands).

At ITP, Shane focusses on concept design, cost estimation, owner’s engineering, and independent acceptance testing.
