Susan Dedman

Senior Project Manager & Team Leader

Canberra, Australia

Susan joined ITP Renewables in 2016, bringing with her two years of graduate engineering experience in microgrids engineering and R&D.

As part of the Engineering team, Susan works on a range of consulting and design projects for grid-connected and off-grid solar PV systems, including integration with energy storage. She has been responsible for management of the ACT Government Energy Storage Grants Program (NextGen); Operations and Maintenance at ITP’s Lithium-Ion Battery Test Centre; and the design and implementation of a multi-million distributed energy resources (DER) laboratory in conjunction with the ANU, UNSW Canberra and Evoenergy, enabling industry and research institutions to test and develop DER products and control.

She is currently managing a project funded by the Australian Government's Regional and Remote Communities Reliability Fund, investigating the feasibility of a microgrid in the community of Cobargo which will transition the community to greater energy resilience after it was devastated by the 2020 bushfires. She also manages the Engineering team's network modelling and design work for town-scale solar farm developments across NSW.

Susan has a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) and a Bachelor of Arts from the Australian National University.
