openCEM for Samoa
The Samoan government has engaged ITP through the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) to develop a version of openCEM or use by Samoan government agencies in their long-term electricity sector planning, specifically the Office of the Regulator (OOTR) and the Electrical Power Corporation (EPC).
The Samoan version of openCEM will be developed by ITP in consultation with stakeholders and it includes the delivery of a fully featured, Samoa specific set of input assumptions workbook and database to ensure that it can be used as soon as it is delivered. The project also includes the delivery of a web portal to facilitate the configuration, cloud running and analysis of openCEM scenarios. The project also provides extensive training material and in-country training to support the development of a long-term electricity planning process for Samoa.
