Department of Climate Change & Energy Efficiency Audit Program

To ensure the quality of PV systems installed under the Solar Homes and Communities Program, the Department of Climate Change and Energy Efficiency developed a quality audit program. ITP Renewables was one of five service providers selected to complete the quality assurance inspections. Under this program 2,500 inspections were conducted. Each inspection involved a thorough check of all system components to ensure compliance with AS3000, AS5033 and Clean Energy Council guidelines. ITP Renewables inspected PV panels, mounting structures, system cabling, inverters, DC isolators and switchboards. This program set the groundwork for the Clean Energy Regulator’s SRES Inspection Program.
