Review of Green Gas Trading Mechanisms

ITP Thermal was commissioned by the ACT Government in June 2020 to review green gas trading mechanisms and their applicability in the ACT. The review included an assessment of current and forecast gas demand in the ACT, the potential to supply green gas in the ACT and Australia, the potential market demand for green gas in the ACT and Australia, and the financial and administrative options for certification of gas as green and processes for verification of zero emissions claims. The review referenced national and international best practices and case studies around the world and also provided a high level review of significant policy and advocacy developments relevant to green gas in Australia.
