Review of the NSW Home Solar Battery Guide

ITP Renewables was engaged to review and make recommended changes to the NSW Government’s Home Solar Battery Guide, associated fact sheets and materials previously published in 2017. This involved stakeholder consultation on updates and improvements using a semi structured interview approach, as well as the provision of expert knowledge to incorporate the latest developments in household battery technologies.

The update included generation and storage technologies and products, system costs, tariffs, grid connection requirements and limitations, standards and other regulations, and safety information. A parallel workstream involved advice to assist the development of a battery payback calculator for use by the wider community as a companion to the NSW Home Solar Battery Guide.
