Copper Mine Electricity Supply Options Analysis

ITP was engaged to identify and analyse power supply options for a large copper mine development in Kalimantan, Indonesia.
The site has a reasonable solar resource and proximity to biomass waste streams and hence solar PV, BESS, and bioenergy options were considered. The analysis considered various PPA terms to allow for the developer to understand the energy costs they are likely to face, and how these costs change as demand for energy varies throughout the mine life.
