ITP Renewables was engaged by the New South Wales Government to provide it with technical and financial modelling of PV systems. The works also involve the project management of PV installations on Government building roofs.
As part of its Solar Target, the NSW Government plans to install approximately 70 MW of grid-connected photovoltaic (PV) power systems on the roofs of its facilities by the end of 2024, to meet the goals of the Government Resource Efficiency Policy and the Net Zero Plan Stage 1 2020-2030. This additional PV capacity is to be distributed across 1,000 to 1,300 sites, which have already been shortlisted by the NSW Government.
As part of its engagement, ITP will model the technical and financial performance of the shortlisted PV systems, and optimise their size to maximise returns at each site. While the NSW Government will be responsible for procurement of the PV systems, ITP will manage the installation contractors selected.
