Tonga Solar PV

Project developer Ingenero commissioned ITP Renewables in 2013 to provide independent commissioning of a 500kW solar PV system on the island of Vava'u in Tonga. The system included a curtailment device (SMA Fuel Save Controller) and a battery storage system. In recognition of our past services providing specialist technical assistance, ITP Renewables was subsequently re-engaged in 2015 to undertake repairs and maintenance on the system. This involved remote monitoring of the output of the solar PV system from our Canberra head offices and routine site visits to the installation to address and rectify system issues.
